Key Man United man misses training for unknown reason: report

Manchester United secured a huge victory last time out, beating Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in their own backyard.

The game itself was an entertaining one, with Marcus Rashford scoring the goal off an excellent Paul Pogba pass. The Frenchman has been simply scintillating since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge, and that’s brilliant to see.

However, according to The Independent, the 25-year-old missed United training on Wednesday, and the reason for that is not yet known.

Before the Spurs game, Pogba had missed the Reading FA Cup tie as he was nursing an injury picked up in the match against Newcastle United following a horror tackle from Jonjo Shelvey.

Whether or not that issue has anything to do with it remains to be seen, but maybe Solskjaer is just giving him some rest at this extremely busy time of year. If that’s the case, then that is certainly an intelligent and calculated choice made by the manager.

With respect to Brighton, whether Pogba plays or not, that’s a game we should be winning. Hopefully, though, this is more of a precaution than a serious injury. We’ll likely learn more from the Baby Faced Assassin when he does his pre-match press conference on Friday.
