Right now, it’s unclear what the issue(s) is, but hopefully, he and his loved ones are doing well. Maybe he feels that he just needs the time off to recharge the batteries, rest, and recuperate. If that’s the case then you have to admire his commitment to the United cause.
He has been absolutely brilliant this season, there’s no two-ways about that. It’s just a shame that he has taken a step backward during the last two fixtures, but you do expect him to come out of the other side of this a stronger player.
For Sweden, we cannot forget just how important his excellent World Cup campaign was. He was genuinely amongst the best defenders at the tournament and we’re lucky to have him.
