Manchester United Football Club will see the fixtures coming thick and fast now, with Jose Mourinho’s men still fighting it out on four fronts. The Red Devils take on Saint-Etienne at Old Trafford tomorrow, as their Europa League campaign resumes.
However, ahead of that match, we could’ve just been given an indicator of some early team news, and it doesn’t make good reading. David McDonnell from the Daily Mirror tweeted out that Phil Jones, Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick were not present for training today.
Phil Jones has missed the last couple of games with an injury, but thankfully, Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling have done a wonderful job in his absence. Wayne Rooney had an illness a week or so ago, but has since been back in the match day squad. Michael Carrick has been left out of things recently too, and we could’ve just learned why.
Hopefully, these problems aren’t serious and we’ll have them back sooner rather than later. They’ll all be keen to get back involved quickly as well, especially with the EFL Cup final just eleven days away.
