Kobbie Mainoo is set to sign a new contract at Man United after the European Championships, including a big pay rise.

Talks about a new contract for Kobbie Mainoo have been pretty consistent over the last few months. At one point, it felt like an announcement was close. However, talks were seemingly shelved.

The Daily Star have now provided an update on that front. They state that the United starlet is set to sign a new deal after the European Championships.

Mainoo has turned into a guaranteed starter at club level, while the Englishman will represent the Three Lions this summer.

The teenager is all set to quadruple his wages at Old Trafford, as he looks sweet to pen a deal worth around £80,000-a-week.

The offer has been agreed in principle, though all parties want to postpone talks until after the major international tournament, which starts in just a couple of weeks.

Mainoo has been an absolute revelation since breaking into the team. It’s just a shame his season started so late due to injuries. Imagine if he was a week one starter last August, rather than having to wait until November?

If anyone within that Old Trafford dressing room deserves a new contract on mega money, it’s Mainoo. He has been the most consistent player ever since breaking into the side and what’s scary is that he still has ample room for further growth.

Hopefully, Mainoo has a great tournament away with England, comes back brimming with even more confidence and enjoys another stellar season over the next twelve months.

This contract is just proof of his sheer skill, talent and impact.
