Leicester City name their price for Harry Maguire to Manchester United move: report

Leicester City could be opening to selling Harry Maguire to Manchester United this summer, but they’ll demand £75million to let the Englishman leave this summer.

That’s according to the Manchester Evening News, who say that the Foxes have already prepared for the possibility of losing the 25-year-old, by agreeing deals to sign two centre-halves for a combined £33.5million.

After an excellent World Cup, Maguire’s stock is seemingly on the rise. The Englishman scored for his country while putting in some simply brilliant performances at the heart of Gareth Southgate’s back three.

In the modern game, United should expect to pay the aforementioned amount. Money in football these days is just getting somewhat ridiculous, but it’s the price you have to fork out.

Personally, Edward Woodward should just go out and get whomever Jose Mourinho asks for at whatever price. The self-proclaimed Special One is a born winner, give him the right platform to build upon and silverware will be delivered.

Maguire is great in the air, positionally aware, can play out from the back and he will chip in with goals. He’s perfect for this team, particularly alongside a more front-footed defender like Eric Bailly.
