Leny Yoro has been handed the number 15 jersey at Man United following his big money move.
Leny Yoro completed a move to Manchester United pretty swiftly earlier this week. The rumours went from nothing to a done deal in less than 48 hours, while INEOS deserve plenty of credit for acting so rapidly to beat Real Madrid to the signing.
The Frenchman, unlike many of his new United teammates, did not go away for international duties over the summer. As a result, Yoro was straight into the first-team training mix, which is great news ahead of his debut season at Old Trafford.
Many hinted that Yoro could be involved against Rangers today. He’s in the squad for the game so there’s a great chance we see him in action.
Before then, though, United have revealed what shirt number Yoro will wear following his £52m move to the club. He has been handed the number 15 jersey, recently worn by Sergio Reguilon, Marcel Sabitzer and Andreas Pereira.
Perhaps the most iconic name to wear the jersey is Nemanja Vidic, while the likes of Daley Blind and Adnan Januzaj also held that number for a time.
Yoro will now be hoping to hit the ground running and prove to us all that he truly has what it takes to become one of the best centre-halves in the game. I believe he can do it. With help from his teammates, some hard work and dedication, with a little bit of luck along the way.
Let’s hope LR15 becomes a trademark symbol for United, as the young French defender goes on to enjoy a stunning career here in Manchester.
