Lisandro Martinez sends message to Man United fans after signing for Reds

Lisandro Martinez has taken to Twitter to send a message to the Man United fans after completing his transfer.

Man United have now confirmed three new signings this summer, the last of which being Lisandro Martinez from Ajax.

Erik ten Hag’s squad is slowly starting to take shape, though with time running out before the season opener, the club need to act quickly to get further faces through the door.

The Argentine, known as ‘The Butcher’, has been brought in to strengthen a back line that struggled majorly last season. The fact that he played under Ten Hag in the Eredivisie for a few years will likely mean Martinez can slot straight into the line-up if needed.

Anyway, late last night, Martinez took to Twitter to send a message to the Man United fans following the completion of his transfer. You absolutely love to see it.

The first thing to note about Martinez is his desire and drive to win. United could absolutely use more players with that mindset inside the dressing room. For far too many games did the Reds wilt and give up under the pressure last season.

Adding a fiery character like Martinez will only be a positive. He’s a typical Argentinian footballer, who’ll do absolutely everything within his power to ensure he ends up on the victorious side.

This wasn’t a cheap signing by any means, though Ten Hag must feel comfortable in committing big funds to bring Martinez in. After all, he was Ajax’s Player of the Year last term, which is mightily impressive given how well the Dutch side performed in 2021/22.

I just can’t wait to see Martinez in action. Hopefully, he features in one of our pre-season games that take place on both Saturday and Sunday.
