Manchester United and Liverpool is one of the fiercest rivalries in world football, and without doubt the most enthralling battle to watch in England. It’ll also be the second time that Jurgen Klopp and our Dutch boss go head-to-head in England tomorrow evening.
Louis van Gaal has been heavily criticised at times this season, but one thing that has been superb from day one is his record in the so-called bigger games.
The Iron Tulip is well on his way to setting an outstanding record against Liverpool in particular, as if he wins tomorrow it’ll be his fifth win in a row against Liverpool – a feat that no previous Manchester United manager has ever achieved.
For all his faults he certainly deserves plenty of credit for how well he does against Liverpool, and that record is one thing you cannot take away from him. Hopefully his side can go to Anfield and put in another performance like they have done in the past on that ground, and put themselves in a strong position going into the second leg.
