Louis van Gaal aims jibe at Demichelis following Rashford mauling

Manchester United Football Club got one over on their local rivals this evening, with Louis van Gaal’s side securing a massive victory. The man of the moment was young Marcus Rashford, who scored a stunning goal despite massive amounts of pressure being on his shoulders.

The 18-year old striker took his goal superbly, and was certainly unfortunate not to win his side a penalty after he left Martin Demichelis for dead, before being hauled down by the veteran.

Straight after the incident the City defender was suggesting that Rashford dived and took a tumble, and following the match, Louis van Gaal certainly got his revenge on his former player.

“Rashford is very quick. I think the years are counting for Demechelis.” Louis van Gaal said.

At the end of the day, Marcus Rashford absolutely exposed the centre-back from minute one until he was subbed off just before the hour mark. It was cowardly of the City man to suggest Rashford dived to win the penalty, and it was nice to see Louis van Gaal back his young starlet.
