Louis van Gaal and David de Gea ‘haven’t spoken in months’

Manchester United and David de Gea have seemingly been embroiled in contract talks for at least a few months now, and as the summer window approaches, it isn’t looking good as no new deal has been agreed and announced as of yet.

With just over fifteen months left on De Gea’s current deal, the United board must be getting twitchy about his current situation. With each passing day, its looking likelier and likelier that the Spaniard will leave the club for pastures new, and this latest news certainly isn’t going to help matters.

According to AS, David de Gea and Louis van Gaal ‘haven’t spoken in months’ and that strained relationship is forcing De Gea closer to a move to Real Madrid.

If true, these two need to work on their relationship sooner rather than later, because its in every bodies best interests that De Gea stays at the club.
