Louis van Gaal being targeted for international job role this summer

Manchester United brought in Louis van Gaal as manager almost two years ago now, with the Dutchman doing exactly what was asked of him in his first year. However this second season hasn’t really worked out for the Iron Tulip, and doubts about his future have arose.

According to the Independent, Louis van Gaal could well walk straight into another job if he leaves Old Trafford this summer; but not in a management role.

The English media outlet say that the Dutch FA want the former Holland boss to return to the national team squad as a Technical Director of Football.

This would be an excellent opportunity for a man who has worked miracles in football, particularly in his homeland. He has always said that United would be his last management job, but it would be a brilliant way of keeping him in football – something which he obviously has a passion for.
