Manchester United continue their FA Cup run later this evening, with Louis van Gaal taking his side to Derby County, one of the standout performers in the Championship. Ahead of that game, the manager has confirmed an injury to one of our first-team regulars.
Matteo Darmian hobbled off the field during the last outing, with suspected broken ribs as he was coughing up blood. However the injury isn’t thought to be all that serious, but it will keep him out of the Derby game.
The Italian has been an astute signing by Louis van Gaal, and coming in at just £12million it has turned out to be a real bargain. The 25-year old doesn’t only offer an outlet at right-back, but he can also take to the field on the left side of defence, which is probably one of the main reasons why Louis van Gaal likes him.
