Manchester United are yet to win silverware since Sir Alex Ferguson left Old Trafford, and Louis van Gaal will be hoping to change that in this years FA Cup. Ahead of the game, United have been given a much-needed boost, as Michael Carrick is once again available for selection.
The Iron Tulip confirmed the news during his pre-match press conference yesterday, but then added that although Carrick is back in contention, he certainly won’t be capable of playing for ninety minutes.
Its great to have him back, and his calmness will certainly be important going into a potentially tricky game tomorrow. Hopefully we’ll see him start in place of Marouane Fellaini who has been struggling at the moment.
Now we just need Bastian Schweinsteiger to come back from his knee troubles, then we’ll be looking much stronger in the middle of the field.
