Louis van Gaal convinced he’ll be Man Utd boss next term even without Champions League

The future of Louis van Gaal has certainly been up in the air at times this season, after plenty of hit and miss performances from the Dutchman’s Manchester United side. However according to the Daily Mirror, he himself is convinced he’ll see out the final year of his contract next season.

The Mirror say that Van Gaal’s coaching staff all believe they’ll have another twelve months at Old Trafford, and his job will still be safe even if the Iron Tulip doesn’t deliver Champions League football next season. The paper go on to say that plans for new signings are already well underway too.

Over recent weeks you can see exactly why the board at Old Trafford might be reluctant to sack Louis van Gaal, as he clearly has a way with youth and his big game record is impeccable. If he can iron out poor performances against the so-called lesser sides, we could do a whole lot worse than Louis van Gaal…
