Louis van Gaal drops hint that Wayne Rooney may not play tomorrow

Manchester United could be without Wayne Rooney for the game against CSKA Moscow tomorrow, as Louis van Gaal is thinking about dropping the England top goalscorer. The Iron Tulip also went on to add that he’s not the only one at risk of missing this one.

“Yes, but not only Wayne.” Louis van Gaal responded when asked if he’d consider dropping his club captain.

Honestly this would be great news. Its getting to the stage where Rooney’s performances are not only hampering United, but you’re starting to feel sorry for the club captain.

He looks completely out of sorts at the moment and perhaps sitting him out for a game or two would reignite that hunger and fire which we know he has.

Louis van Gaal must be watching him and realising just how poorly he has been playing at the start of this season, and he must sense just how much the fans are frustrated with the 29-year old so he can hardly fear a backlash from the Old Trafford faithful if he is made to sit this one out.
