Louis van Gaal drops Juan Cuadrado hint amid possible United interest

Manchester United are seemingly interested in Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado, as Louis van Gaal has dropped a big hint about the Columbian winger in his latest press conference. According to the Daily Star, Louis van Gaal reckons that if he mentions Cuadrado by name, his price will skyrocket.

Van Gaal reportedly said:

“I cannot talk about Cuadrado, because if I say something about him the price will rise.”

Barcelona and Manchester United are set to battle for the wingers signature over the next month or so, with a fee of around £29million being touted for the 26-year old.

Cuadrado started his career as a right-back, but in recent seasons has been shifted to a right-winger where assists and goals have come in abundance. Last season he scored a huge fifteen goals, including the winner in the Italian cup semi-final. He also finished as the joint top assister in the World Cup, with four.

He’s full of pace, bags of energy and he knows how to cross a ball. Louis van Gaal has been keen on bringing in a ‘specialist’ wingback since he arrived at Manchester United, and Juan Cuadrado could fit the bill perfectly.
