Louis van Gaal fully backs struggling Manchester United star

Manchester United’s club captain Wayne Rooney finally grabbed himself a league goal at Goodison Park yesterday, and his manager has declared himself ‘happy’ that he scored, and added that the 29-year old striker will score more from here on out.

“Because of the attention on Wayne I am happy he scored, I believe his last goal here was in 2007. That is crazy but now I think he shall score more.” Louis van Gaal said.

Wayne Rooney did score against Everton, but his form as a whole must be a huge concern to Louis van Gaal. Putting his strike aside, he struggled once again over the weekend.

Its common knowledge that the captain rarely gets dropped unless he’s injured or is struggling massively, and you feel that Wayne Rooney sitting out a game or two wouldn’t be the worst decision in the world. Sadly I don’t see that happening any time soon.
