Manchester United Football Club were dealt a serious injury blow way back in September, with Louis van Gaal without the services of Luke Shaw for the majority of the season due to an horrific injury in which he broke his leg in two places.
Louis van Gaal met the media ahead of the Liverpool game, and gave us an injury update on our star left-back.
“Luke Shaw was with his surgeon and everything is going well. His bone is growing and that is very positive, but he needs time.”
He was then asked whether he can return ahead of schedule: “Yes he can.” The Dutchman replied.
It would be brilliant for him personally if he can get himself fit and ready before the end of the season, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. His first aim should be building his muscle back, and concentrate on getting ready for another gruelling pre-season.
If he can somehow return before that, then thats brilliant, but lets not put too much pressure on him to return as that could hamper the brilliant progress he is making.
