Louis van Gaal hints that vital man is tired and will give him time off

Manchester United finally broke down a tough Everton defence yesterday, thanks to a goal from Anthony Martial. However one man who stole the show on the day thanks to a stunning defensive display was Daley Blind. After the match, Louis van Gaal admitted his Dutch compatriot is tired.

“I will give him two days off this week and then he will be okay again.” Van Gaal said.

Thankfully we have no game this coming midweek, so that gives Daley Blind time to recover and get himself fit and ready to go for the huge game against Spurs this weekend.

The Dutchman will be equally key for us during the run-in, as he has been all season long. Blind’s versatility is without doubt his biggest selling point to Louis van Gaal, but he has seemingly found a home for him at centre-back where he has thrived all year. So-much-so I reckon he has to be under serious consideration for United’s Player of the Year award.
