Manchester United’s Louis van Gaal met the media for one final time in the premier League this season, as he addressed all matters building up to Bournemouth at home. The Iron Tulip has identified a potential weak spot for United, and told the club where they have to get better next term.
“I can say what we have to improve still. I don’t think we have to improve in our defensive organisation as we are doing well.” Louis van Gaal began. “We have to score more in our attacking organisation which is something I have said at the start of this season.”
“We need creative, fast players in attack. It is what I have said and we have to change that and that is very important.”
The defence has been hit and miss at times, but if Louis van Gaal stays, its clear he won’t strengthen much in that area of the field as he feels the current crop have done a good job.
However he believes that the attacking third of the pitch still needs work, despite the additions of Anthony Martial and Memphis Depay.
This year has been shocking in terms of the number of chances created, and its clear for all to see that something is going wrong in that area of the pitch. Be it personnel, tactics or just a lack of confidence, something is drastically wrong in terms of the amount of goals scored and that has to change.
