Louis van Gaal refuses to comment on future of United’s Spanish goalkeeper

Manchester United made a bold decision to bring Victor Valdes into Old Trafford last January, with Louis van Gaal clearly preparing for life after De Gea. Obviously situations changed, and the pair had a massive falling out, now Valdes has been completely exiled from the first-team fold.

Today in his weekly press conference, Louis van Gaal was asked about the future of Victor Valdes, and the Iron Tulip clearly didn’t want to answer the question in any way whatsoever.

“It is not for me to answer that question, you should ask Victor Valdes.” Louis van Gaal said.

The writing is on the wall to be honest, it feels as though the sooner Victor Valdes leaves Old Trafford the better. He doesn’t have any kind of future here and he isn’t getting any younger, so he needs to do all he can to find a club willing to take him on, and play him week-in week-out.
