Manchester United made the move to hire Louis van Gaal as a David Moyes replacement just over a year ago, and the Iron Tulip looks to be loving his time in the North-West. After the 3-0 victory over Everton yesterday, he was quizzed about which trophy he’d prefer to win with the Red Devils.
“For me, it’s the Premier League. The PL is the greater prize because I have already won the Champions League.” Louis van Gaal said.
At the end of the day the Premier League is the bread and butter. If you asked me to choose which trophy I’d prefer to see us win it’d be the Premier League every time, despite how great it feels to win in Europe.
You’d also imagine that we’re much closer to a Premier League win than one in Europe – particularly given the size of the squad at the moment.
