Louis van Gaal reveals why he didn’t drop starlet for Man Utd game against City

Manchester United Football Club secured one of their biggest results of the season yesterday afternoon, with a rare away win coming in the derby. The man who scored the winner was Marcus Rashford, with many fans wanting Van Gaal to drop the 18-year old striker.

When asked about Rashford’s performance, Van Gaal replied:

“He is a real striker, that’s what I let him stay in that position. He’s an attacking point and can run the channels.”

“He is 18, we have to see how consistent he is.”

When you make a massive impact like he has, you tend to forget about the age of the player. What Rashford has done in his handful of games so far has been nothing short of sensational, and whats exciting for the Manchester United fans is the fact that he seems to thrive in the big games.

There is nothing better than watching a youth product succeed, particularly one from Manchester. Hopefully he can continue to impress from now until the end of the season, and become a mainstay in that team for the years to come.
