Louis van Gaal tells Sky reporter that his Man Utd career is ‘over’

Manchester United Football Club lifted their first piece of major silverware after the Sir Alex Ferguson era yesterday, but it looks as though Louis van Gaal is set to lose his job. That tale took another twist today, with the Dutchman himself admitting that its all over.

Sky Sports News say that Van Gaal left the Manchester United team hotel, and told a Sky reporter that ‘its over’.

At the end of the day its probably the right time for the Iron Tulip to move on, with the football on display not really what the Manchester United fans are after.

However the way it has been done hasn’t been great from the hierarchy at Old Trafford. The news was leaked less than an hour after the final whistle wet in the cup yesterday, and it just doesn’t sit right at all.

It does look as though Jose Mourinho will be the man to take charge in the not too distant future though, and he could well have a huge influence on Manchester United as soon as he comes to the Theatre of Dreams.
