Louis van Gaal wants Man Utd FA Cup glory

Manchester United Football Club are slowly but surely regaining form and confidence under our new Dutch manager nicknamed ‘the Iron Tulip’, and results are certainly going our way in terms of league football. Its not long until the FA Cup gets underway again, and the gaffer has turned his attention to that competition, and recognises it as a potential trophy under his belt.

“I know what the FA Cup means to this club, our players and our fans. Its place in the history of Manchester United is well known,” said van Gaal.

“So it is hard to believe that long-serving players such as Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick and Jonny Evans have never won this cup. It is a medal I know they are desperate to get their hands on.”

Its been ten years since we’ve won the FA Cup now, and its been a few years since we’ve had a decent run in any domestic cup at all so it’d be nice if we could go on a decent run and at the very least get a trip to Wembley Stadium out of it.

The lads only have league football to focus on for the next month before the FA Cup gets underway for the Premier League sides, so hopefully Louis van Gaal will go strong in that competition and we’ll get a decent run of draws.

The team is certainly capable of winning it, and with a bit of luck on our side anything is possible.
