Louis van Gaal replaced David Moyes as Manchester United manager yesterday, and the 62-year old Dutchman will meet the media today for the first time. According to the Daily Star, Van Gaal has already drawn up a list of names that he wants rid of, and it includes the following TEN players.
Whilst at the World Cup, it is believed that the manager was keeping an eye on his Manchester United players, and making assessments of those who simply aren’t good enough. His list is believed to include the following:
Players including Bebe, Javier Hernandez, Wilfried Zaha, Anderson, Chris Smalling, Nani and Tom Cleverley aren’t considered good enough by the new man, so a mass overhaul could happen in the coming days.
There are also doubts over the futures of Darren Fletcher, Ashley Young and Rafael, although a final decision on these three will be made on the pre-season tour of USA.
His assistant manager, Ryan Giggs, would’ve surely sat down with the new man and discussed each member of the current squad in detail, and we’ll have a much clearer idea of who he likes come the start of August.
Would you keep any of the players mentioned? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.

sell Welback keep Javier
I wouldn’t keep any, in fact I would add Fellaini and Welbeck to the list.
All should go even welbeck, fellaini and evra they are all flop’s..
Fellaini must definitely go
Yes,Due to reason being, “In order for this guy to sell any body in Manchester united must buy a replacement of which must play clearly for tow season’ mudebo siraji from busia Uganda Manchester united supporter
And moyes needed another season we really need more players and and this guy van gaal must not mistake and make van persie captain and must be quick in buying players b”se the money is not he uses is not his
Let Anderson, Hernandez and Zaha stay
Tom cleverly and Hernandez should stay while Rafael is untouchable, but as for cleverly and Hernandez they can be replace.
How can we sell Hernandez when all he has ever done is come on and score! Zaha hasn’t even been given a real chance, I see another Pogba situation happening there if we let him leave. Smalling has done well, but he should stick to the CB position! Why in God’s good name is Rafael’s name even there, he is one of our best players and he is still so young!!! THE REST that I haven’t mentioned may leave.
Yeap.I think we should keep Zaha and give him a chance.
Rafael Should Stay, axe All The Other
Brother, I totally agreed with u but lets us be sincered here, this guy had got carried away by ‘our’ factors ( the RED DEVIL) and they forgot to discover and re discover theirselves, so am not against any of ‘them’ to be sold even our rooney if that what’s gonna bring back our fear factors!!
After some of these comments I’m sad to be a united fan. 1) how can you say to get rid of zaha, not even been given a chance, he proved he was a talent at palace, so give him a go, we dont have talented rw’s. 2) why fletcher? We need a few cbs even if only for back up, he had decent games when used, he doesn’t have to go yet. Not dead wood. 3) obviously Rafael can’t go, but please don’t call him one of our best players, he was good two seasons ago, shocking last season (Phil jones did better at rb, that’s how bad rafa was), he is not yet at the level of our top players. 4) someone called evra a flop, he wasn’t too good last season but wasn’t the worst. To call him a flop is a joke, did u only become a fan last season. 5) welbeck has now proven hes better than Hernandez, your deluded if you think otherwise, Hernandez had starts and didnt score, he missed quite a few one on ones. I dont just want a striker that might score when he comes on, hes no ole. Welbeck can also play as a winger too and I’d rather Wilson be a back up, he did more in one start than Hernandez did in his starts. There’s alot more to say about some of the comments, but I’ll see what else is put.
Carrick !!!!!!! Useless
Loose Anderson as he has had long enough to make an impression. Hernandez needs to be sold as he can be a consistent player when he has confidence but he will never get enough game time as he is not “world class”.
Zaha has never really had the chance of consistent game time and he is not sucking up major wages so give him the time to grow. I agree he could be another Pogba mistake.
Nani really does need to go. Far too many opportunities and the only reason he was re-signed was so he couldn’t leave on a free transfer. Fletcher has to be given a full season(he was out for a few seasons remember?) to prove his worth and shown a little loyalty.
Young consistently disappointing just had a golden year at Villa under O’Neill-out.
Rafael is a squad player for me. Not constant enough to be trusted full time as he can get beaten on defense and I always feel he is one tackle away from a card. But can be a good attacking WB when needed. Smalling and Cleverley I am undecided these are hard calls. Smalling is played out of position 80% of the time and Cleverley was so explosive when he started and everything was rosy with the team.
Walbeck has to stay as he will only get better and has done. He can beat defenders and play left side as well.
I think Man U for the first time I can remember is going to have less than 50% English players in a starting squad which is where this whole issue has really started from. Youth coaching, scouting and developing from one of the best youth clubs in the world??
One last thing- For me Rooney has to go, I think he is not the right man as captain of a starting player for me. Anyone that wants to leave once let alone twice should be escorted out of this great club immediately!
Rafa is absolute class I’d be extremely dissapointed is we sold him and Zaha who hasnt even been given a proper chance yet
