Louis van Gaal’s responds to critics who say United play boring football

Manchester United were battered 3-0 away at Arsenal today, with Louis van Gaal clearly unhappy with the way his side played at the Emirates Stadium today. Before the game he was quizzed about the ‘boring’ style of play United are producing at the moment, and he was largely unfazed.

“What they are saying doesn’t bother me. We are still in transition.” The Iron Tulip said.

To an extent he is right. Manchester United had plenty of problems within the first team squad and many holes that had to be plugged by the manager. He has cleared a lot of dead wood, and brought in players who fit his mould and style – but he has been in charge for close to eighteen months now.

We have seen some improved performances and some not so convincing ones in his tenure, but hopefully as this season progresses we’ll see some better results as well as a nicer brand of football being played.
