Manchester United have admitted defeat in the hunt to sign Toni Kroos, and will now turn their attentions to Real Madrid’s Luka Modric, according to CaughtOffside. The Croatian playmaker had a superb season with Real Madrid, and it won’t be easy getting Real Madrid to part with him.
Formerly of Tottenham, Modric has often been linked with a move to Manchester United, and the 28-year old midfielder has always denied the rumours.
He’s currently with the Croatian national side, who have managed to win one of their two games at the World Cup thus far.
Manchester United need a world class midfielder, and Modric would surely fit the bill. I struggle to understand how we plan on luring him to Old Trafford though, as he’s just won a Champions League title in Madrid and we don’t have European football on offer at all next season.

Why going for Modric? I think we have better players than Modric, like Vargas and Arturo Vidal of Chile, James Rodriguez of Colombia and Monaco, Valencia of Ecuador not the MANUTD Valencia, Emenike of Nigeria just to mention.
Enough already with the rumours. I just can’t imagine Real Madrid or Ancellotti(sp) letting Modric leave. I can’t imagine Modric wanting a move from Real Madrid to Man U. It’s just not logical so please stop with the BS. We will know very soon who will end up at Man U.
