Romelu Lukaku’s Manchester United future continues to be up in the air just a few hours before the Reds’ first tour game against Perth Glory.
Well today, we may have been given the clearest indication yet that the 26-year-old forward probably isn’t going anywhere. The story comes from ESPN, who state that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is including Lukaku in his plans for next season – because there are doubts about whether Inter have the money to pay for the #9.
Apparently, Lukaku is keen on a move to the San Siro, but talks between the two clubs ended as there valuations were too far apart.
Furthermore, United now hold the belief that they can make a profit on the man they paid £75million for just two years ago, as the Old Trafford outfit looks for a bigger fee from the Serie A side.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, whichever way this transfer goes I’ll be relatively happy. Keep Lukaku, United have a prolific forward and the consummate professional within their squad, sell and Solskjaer gets a nice boost to his summer transfer budget.
Like I stated earlier, it does feel as though Inter are struggling to stump up the cash so in my opinion, Lukaku will remain at Old Trafford for at least another twelve months…
