Luke Shaw hints at return from injury before the end of the season

Manchester United have been without the services of Luke Shaw for the majority of this season, down to an horrific injury he suffered against PSV back in September. The 20-year old was one of the outstanding performers up until that point, and it was a real shame for everyone.

Now, several months on, Luke Shaw has spoken out about the whole situation, and he seems extremely upbeat about everything. The former Southampton man even hinted at a possible return before the end of the campaign, which would be nothing short of remarkable.

“I am back outside now, still with the physio but, day by day, I am getting better and fitter.” Shaw told ManUtd.com“I am just going to keep pushing now until the end of the season and see what happens.”

“At the moment, my leg feels really great every time I go outside. There was a bit of aching at the start but now they are all gone.”

“It is just back to hard work now and hopefully I will see the fans before the end of the season.” The young man added.

“I have missed football so much. It was hard for me to watch it at times as I missed it so much and I just wanted to be out there.”

This lad just loves playing football, and it was heartbreaking to see an English prospect as good as him suffer a double leg-break. It came at a time when he was really finding his feet at Manchester United, and hopefully he gets the chance to prove what he can do once again.

Its always tough coming back from long-term injuries like this, and often the player never comes back the same. With Shaw’s mentality though, you imagine he’s only focused on one thing, and he will not let this dampen his spirits and ruin his career.
