Manchester United suffered a horrific blow yesterday, with Luke Shaw breaking his leg in two places during the 2-1 loss away at PSV Eindhoven. At first it was thought that his season was completely over, but now that may not be the case.
According to the usually reliable Mark Ogden, Luke Shaw’s break was a ‘clean one’ and it did not pierce the skin – meaning we could see him back before the end of the season.
The 20-year old had been in fine form to start off the year, and its just a freak accident what happened. Hopefully he can come back stronger than ever.
Obviously this is still a serious injury, but its encouraging we could see him play for Manchester United again at some point this season. It also means he could still feature for his country at next summers’ European Championships.
