Maguire desperate to join Man United, clubs still £15m apart in valuation: report

At this stage we’re being given new information on Harry Maguire’s proposed Manchester United move almost hourly.

The last story we covered came from The Telegraph, who in an exclusive claimed that Maguire will not be playing in Leicester’s final pre-season game against Atalanta later today as he’s (understandably) not in the right frame of mind.

Well, the latest media outlet to have their say is The Mirror, who state that the 26-year-old is ‘desperate’ to secure a dream United move this summer, while backing up the fact that Maguire will not be playing in the pre-season game.

Maguire wats Leicester to accept the latest bid that has been tabled for him, though the saga is set to continue with the two clubs still a huge £15million apart in terms of valuation.

United’s latest offer was £70million with a further £10million available in various add-ons and bonuses, while Leicester wants £90million plus £5million in add-ons.

To me, it feels like the Foxes are constantly trying to change the goalposts which is somewhat annoying, but at the end of the day, they simply do not have to sell.

If they want a figure that’s £20million more than what Liverpool paid to sign Virgil van Dijk, I’m somewhat worried. The fee is just getting too much ad at this stage it’s probably time for the Red Devils to move on to other potential targets in the centre-back position.
