Man United have added Brighton pair, Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister, to their transfer shortlist.
Manchester United Football Club still have plenty of holes to fill within this current playing squad. Right now, the papers seem to be linking the Reds with a move to sign a new central midfielder or two…
The latest story comes from The Telegraph (subscription required). They believe that Erik ten Hag ‘will target a central midfielder’ for the squad this summer.
To further add to that, the club have eyes on a Brighton duo; Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister.
The pair have been added to a ‘shortlist of players’ they’re considering as potential signings.
Over the last couple of games, Bruno Fernandes has been dropped into a deeper position due to Casemiro’s ban coupled with Christian Eriksen’s injury. The midfield area is now viewed as a priority for the Reds’ Dutch manager.
Caicedo has been linked with a Reds switch in the past, though the Seagulls managed to keep ahold of the man from Ecuador at that point. Undoubtedly, the club continues to be impressed with the performances from the defensive-midfielder, who is always learning and developing.
Mac Allister recently signed a new deal, meaning he’d be tough to steal from Brighton at this moment in time. He’s fresh from a World Cup victory and playing at a super-high level right now.
It is thought that both players are valued in excess of £70million, highlighting just how much they’re valued by their current club. Brighton, to their credit, have been tough negotiators of late. You either pay their demands or look elsewhere. I don’t think their stance will change this summer.
