Man United agree £55million fee to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka: report

Well it seems as though today is shaping up to be a good one for Manchester United fans.

Juan Mata signed a new deal earlier today, and it looks as though the Red Devils are closing in on their second summer signing. According to the usually reliable Duncan Castles in the Daily Record,

In his story, Castle claims that United are ‘understood’ to have agreed a fee with Crystal Palace to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Apparently, a source ‘familiar with the negotiations’ values the deal at £55million – making the 21-year-old’s transfer to United a world-record fee for a full-back.

After what feels like weeks of chasing Wan-Bissaka, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is seemingly set to lad his number one target at the right-hand side of his defence.

Wan-Bissaka enjoyed a stellar breakthrough season in the 2018/19 campaign and he was supreme throughout – particularly on the defensive side of the ball.

Although the £55million may sound expensive, that’s what it takes to sign young, English, Premier League players, as you pay that homegrown premium.

I simply cannot wait to see Wan-Bissaka get started. He’s an excellent full-back with all the makings of a player who can go right the way to the very top. Hopefully, he’ll hit the ground running and make an instant impression.
