Man United are going hard in their pursuit of Real Madrid midfielder, Casemiro.
Over the last day or so, Manchester United have been linked with a move to acquire Brazil midfielder, Casemiro.
Our initial thought was one of doubt. I just never thought the Real Madrid man would leave the Santiago Bernabeu for the desperate situation that’s unfolding here at Old Trafford.
Well, as time goes on, my mind is starting to slowly change.
The latest update in the saga is a pretty big one and it comes from Relevo. They state that United are ‘determined’ to sign the 30-year-old this summer – and they’re willing to go big.
Apparently, the Reds are ready to pay £67.5m (80m euro) to bring in the veteran, who has won it all with Real Madrid. On top of that, they’re also willing to double the player’s wages.
Relevo go on to add that Casemiro is actually contemplating making the switch, as he is annoyed with some decisions that the club has made recently.
Alright, so this to me stinks of Casemiro looking for one final pay day. He could either be genuinely looking to make a move away from Real Madrid, or using us to get a better contract out of the Spanish club.
If United believe they even have the slightest chance at acquiring Casemiro, they have to explore all the possible avenues, because this is the sort of player that could help transform our midfield.
One thing I will say is that time in the window is rapidly running out, so they need an answer, either way, from Casemiro pretty quickly. United are notoriously slow in the market anyway and with multiple signings still required, the Reds cannot afford to dilly-dally and hang around for too long.
