Man United are ready to step up their interest in Michael Olise over the next few weeks.

Manchester United Football Club need a big summer transfer window, in order to start moving back up the footballing pyramid.

INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe will want to make a positive first impression, making some progressive signings, while hopefully, nudging the club up the Premier League table next term.

Yesterday, United were given a potential boost in pursuit of Crystal Palace man, Marc Guehi.

No less than 24 hours later, the Red Devils are linked with his teammate; Michael Olise.

The story comes from The Sun, who relay information from Fabrizio Romano. Apparently, United are expected to hold ‘concrete talks’ over the signing of the 22-year-old attacker.

Olise scored twice against United on Monday, putting in an absolutely brilliant performance down his flank. Now, the Old Trafford club are trying to bring the Englishman to Manchester.

The talks to try and sign Olise are expected to happen in the ‘coming weeks’, though The Sun note that the attacker is under contract until 2027, with Palace under no real pressure to sell.

Palace have also slapped a £60m price tag on their star man, while United will face competition to bring in Olise, with Chelsea and Juventus also keen.

Olise would be an unreal signing if United could somehow pull this one off. He’s a class footballer in a position of need (right-wing). Yes, this would represent a large chunk of the budget but it does feel like the perfect way to kick off the INEOS era.

I do wonder whether Olise would fancy a move to Manchester United under the current circumstances. We have to be honest with ourselves, Palace have just slapped us 4-0. He’ll likely receive more enticing offers from elsewhere, which could complicate things.

Do you think a Man United move to sign Michael Olise would make sense? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
