Man United call off left-back search due to Brandon Williams emergence: report

Manchester United Football Club have promoting youth deep within their DNA.

Credit where it’s due, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has continued that mantra excellently. The Red Devils gaffer hasn’t shied away from giving chances to young kids – whom have all repaid that faith.

Amongst the academy graduates proving their worth this term is Brandon Williams. A red through and through, born in Harpurhey, has seriously challenged Luke Shaw for that starting spot.

So-much-so that United have now called off the search for a new left-back signing due to the emergence of the 19-year-old. That’s according to The Sun.

Apparently, Williams has been in talks with Solskjaer over the last few weeks, outlining future plans, while the Baby Faced Assassin told the Englishman that he will not be going out on loan next season.

United were searching for a left-back to give Luke Shaw some competition, but now, it seems as though the club have found that player in Williams. Now the Red Devils’ focus in terms of transfers can be placed elsewhere.

What’s not to love about Williams? An academy product who wears his heart on his sleeve. This young man is a fighter, a scrapper, a battler. We need more players with his personality in the squad. The best part? He’s only going to get better – and what a show of faith in him this is from his manager. Who says Solskjaer doesn’t improve players, eh?
