Man United have eyes on Serie A left-back, Juan Cabal.
Manchester United addressed many issues within the squad over the summer. Two centre-backs and a right-back was signed, while a midfielder and forward was also added.
However, there was too much work to undertake in one window – particularly on a limited budget. A glaring need in the left-back position remains.
Tyrell Malacia hasn’t played football in eighteen months. Luke Shaw will always pick up small injuries that rule him out for a month at a time. That lack of consistency is costing the club.
It does seem as though a left-back will be the next position to be worked on, with Tutto Juve believing United have eyes on Juan Cabal.
According to the information, United are ‘closely following’ the 23-year-old Serie A left-back, who currently plies his trade for Juventus.
Cabal, hailing from Colombia, has started well in Turin after his £10m move to the Old Lady.
Tutto Juve are already praising Cabal as a wise investment, largely due to his ‘solid defensive performances’ combined with a positive ‘attacking impression’ that is impressing fans.
It’s early days for Cabal at Juventus after signing from Hellas Verona, though he’s already catching the eye with United ‘aware’ of his qualities’.
Cabal would cost at least £25m, with Juventus already in line to almost triple what they paid to sign the left-back just a few months ago.
Obviously, this isn’t a transfer that will happen imminently. Cabal has only just arrived in Italy and at the very earliest, this is a move that United could look at next summer. It is encouraging to see that the Old Trafford side are now looking to strengthen in that area of the field.
