Man United confident of beating Chelsea in race to sign Jadon Sancho

On February 5th, we covered a story from The Sun in which it was claimed that Manchester United were ready to go head-to-head in the battle to sign Jadon Sancho.

The Englishman is making waves over in Germany, putting in some brilliant performances for Borussia Dortmund. Now, it seems as though the Red Devils believe they have the edge…

According to the Daily Mirror, United are ‘determined to win the race’ to sign the superstar 19-year-old ahead of Chelsea in the summer.

Furthermore, Dortmund are ready to sell the Englishman when the window opens, but only for the right price. The fee being mentioned by the Daily Mirror is somewhere around the £120million mark.

Chelsea is keen on adding Sancho as a replacement for Willian and Pedro, but United are battling hard and believe they can ‘edge out’ the Stamford Bridge outfit, in what has become a two-way fight to sign the talented teen.

For me, it all comes down to one thing; Champions League football. Chelsea currently leads the race, though United could make a huge statement by heading to London on Monday Night Football by taking all three points.

Any team would be better with Sancho in it, particularly United’s who have been rather dysfunctional from the right-wing since Cristiano Ronaldo left. He’s definitely worth the money as this is a player who can potentially give you a decade-plus of service, and this is the sort of signing which can propel any team to that next level…
