Man United confident of signing Jadon Sancho as they prepare final take-it-or-leave-it offer: report

Manchester United are preparing one final take-it-or-leave-it-offer to sign Jadon Sancho.

Jadon Sancho has been the talk of Manchester town all summer. As of yet, though, no deal has been reached with Borussia Dortmund.

To us here at Old Trafford Faithful, I honestly thought this deal was dead. However, the Red Devils are doing their utmost to lure us back in…

The story comes from The Mirror, who make a bold claim. They state that United ‘chiefs’ are confident of getting the deal for Sancho over the line.

Apparently, United are preparing a take-it-or-leave-it offer for the star attacker, tabling a £90million bid next week. The sum will be £75million upfront, with a further £15million available in add-ons and bonuses.

Furthermore, Edward Woodward will inform Dortmund that they’ll be no negotiating the fee or instalments, but the club remains confident a deal will be done.

So what’s changed?

Well, the way we see it, not an awful lot. Dortmund haven’t budged from their £108m asking price and I just don’t see how they’re going to change their stance at this stage of the window.

Sancho would be an outstanding signing for United. He’d offer more depth, more quality and a decade of service. What’s not to like about this deal?

Timing-wise, it could be better. I don’t doubt that in a normal season, we’d have no issue paying the £108m. However, a serious loss of revenue has the club thinking twice about coughing up.

I guess the issue I have is that we’re risking losing Sancho by not making a move now. With just a week or so left in the window, United better act quickly if they want to get this deal done. Honestly, though, I just don’t see it happening anymore…

What would be a fair Jadon Sancho offer? Should United just pay whatever it takes? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
