With the summer fast approaching, it’s nice to see Manchester United linked with names aplenty. Amongst those is Borussia Dortmund ace, Jadon Sancho.
Today, we were given an update on the teenager’s situation; and it’s a positive one. According to the Evening Standard, Manchester United are confident they can sign the 18-year-old superstar this summer.
Apparently, Sancho is amongst United’s ‘top targets’, and although Dortmund understandably want to keep ahold of the Englishman, a bid somewhere around the £80million mark may well be enough.
United will face competition for his signature, with Paris Saint-Germain monitoring his situation, and you’d also be surprised if Manchester City didn’t get themselves in the mix to sign Sancho either.
The best thing is that Sancho is young and always developing. He plays in a right-wing spot that United haven’t signed anyone in for years. In fact, I’d go as far as saying that the club are still yet to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.
Bringing in Sancho would give us some consistency in such a key area of the field, and imagine the damage he could do in a front three with his pals Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford? It’d be brilliant to see.
For me, this would be a stunning signing. Give me Sancho over an ageing Gareth Bale every single day of the week.
