Manchester United jet out for Perth later today, as the Red Devils begin their 2019 pre-season tour.

The Red Devils official Twitter account gave us the lowdown on who’ll be heading out to Australia, with United confirming a 28-man squad (see image below).

For me, the most pressing question was whether Paul Pogba’s name would be included, and thankfully, the 26-year-old Frenchman is seemingly heading out on tour.

However, there was one notable absentee – Dean Henderson, who in a story we covered earlier this week, responded to a Sheffield United fan on Twitter which all-but confirmed he’d be heading back to The Blades for another season. The fact that he’s missing only reaffirms that belief.

David de Gea is travelling, as is Romelu Lukaku, who’s United future is also up in the air.

New signings Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James are both included in the 28-strong party, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to put his trust in youth. Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong, James Garner, Angel Gomes and Axel Tuanzebe will all travel to Australia.

Now I’ve seen the list, I’m excited. This is a young travelling squad and I cannot wait to see both the new signings and our academy products in action. It’ll be also interesting to see Pogba’s attitude while out in Australia, to see whether he begins to push even harder for a move away from Old Trafford…

Hopefully, we’ll have some photos of the lads arriving at the airport later today. Keep your eyes peeled.
