Joel Pereira has always found himself stuck in the same problem ever since he moved to Manchester United.
Having top class goalkeepers, and arguably the best in the business in front of Pereira in the pecking order makes it hard to find minutes.
Today, Manchester United have confirmed that Pereira has left Old Trafford on loan again. This time, he’s headed to Belgium to play for KV Kortrijk for the campaign’s remainder.
Now 22, Pereira is at that stage in his career where he has to be playing regular football to improve. At United, he’s probably fourth choice at best so week-in-week-out minutes is practically impossible.
That doesn’t take away from that fact that KV Kortrijk
Hopefully, Pereira enjoys himself, gets regular minutes and comes back to United all the better for it. No doubt that the young man from Portugal will find himself back at the club going on pre-season tour this coming summer, and who knows, if he does well, perhaps he’ll force the manager to move up him up the pecking order…
