Manchester United Football Club are considering replacement options for superstar midfielder, Paul Pogba.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, per the Manchester Evening News, who adds that the Red Devils do host one major concern regarding letting Pogba go. The United hierarchy believes they’d struggle to find someone with the same commercial value as the Frenchman.
Honestly, this just sums up United at the moment. The club are more interested in making money off the field, rather than worrying about the performances on the pitch.
As long as they’re raking in the cash and their Twitter followers are going up, the owners are happy. Unfortunately, the actual game is now no longer their number one priority.
Pogba is a fantastic footballer on his day, but far too often, we’ve witnessed sub-par displays from the 25-year-old It’s frustrating because whenever he dons France colours, he is always outstanding. He played a key role in their World Cup win over the summer, but he came back to United and struggled to start the season.
Sure, the manager stripping him of the captaincy didn’t help matters, but Pogba’s badmouthing of his manager to the media isn’t ideal. Honestly, I remain firm in my belief that both Mourinho and Pogba should be shown the exit door – purely because they handled things extremely poorly a few weeks ago.
