Man United will now move to sign Manuel Ugarte, after sealing a deal to sign Leny Yoro.
Manchester United Football Club have made two signings. Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro are Red Devils. Now, the Old Trafford side will continue to try and add to their playing squad before the new season.
One name linked with a Reds switch in recent weeks is Manuel Ugarte. The man from Uruguay currently plies his trade for PSG in Ligue 1.
Today, Florian Plettenberg has provided an update on that front. He has taken to Twitter to share his latest information on that saga, claiming that United are set to continue ‘pushing’ to sign the 23-year-old midfielder.
Ugarte is said to be ‘high’ on the Reds’ transfer list, while the player is ‘keen’ to join United and become a part of their new project. It is stressed no agreement is in place as things stand.

Been told he’s still high on the list of #MUFC and the 23 y/o central midfielder from PSG ist keen to join ManUtd and their new project.

Ugarte, a true defensive midfielder, would add more quality to this squad if signed. He feels like the natural replacement for Casemiro in that area of the field, replacing one fiery South American with another.
The timing also feels right. Joao Neves has been heavily linked with a move to PSG today. Perhaps when that deal has gone through, Ugarte will be allowed to leave Paris for Old Trafford.
For United, money has been somewhat tight this summer so it may also depend on raising some extra cash via player sales. The likes of Mason Greenwood and Aaron Wan-Bissaka could help out in that regard.
