Man United ‘could sell’ highly-rated Isak Hansen-Aaroen before January window closes

Man United could cash in on the mega-talented Isak Hansen-Aaroen before the window slams shut.

Manchester United Football Club have been moving on from younger players under Erik ten Hag, with the Dutchman showing a real ruthlessness in that regard since taking charge.

He’s only willing to hand minutes to the best of the best. Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho represent the best examples of that.

Perhaps the most talented player in the academy right now is Isak Hansen-Aaroen. Much like the aforementioned duo, the Norwegian was also part of the FA Youth Cup winning side from eighteen months ago.

However, according to the Manchester Evening News, United ‘could sell’ the talented teenager before the January window closes.

Talks are ongoing with the 19-year-old over a new contract, though no end is in sight, with the midfielder looking increasingly set to leave…

United would love to keep the player at the club, though they accept that if he doesn’t sign a new deal, the Reds may have to cash in on him now in order to get some sort of value back for the teenager.

The club would be entitled to compensation for the Norwegian if he were to leave on a free over the summer, though there’s a possibility he is sold for a higher fee today, in a deal that would include favourable clauses from a Reds’ standpoint.

I feel like selling Hansen-Aaroen would be a massive mistake. He’s a mega talent and I don’t doubt that he has all the tools to go right to the very top. I’d much prefer to see him do that here at United rather than elsewhere.
