Man United could reignite their interest in Norwich City right-back, Max Aarons.
Erik ten Hag is no doubt growing in frustration at this point. Manchester United haven’t delivered him the players he desperately required as of yet and with time running out in the transfer window, you have to say the situation looks pretty bleak…
Three players have been added. I’ll remind you that over ten have left during this same period. This squad is incredibly thin on the ground in some key areas.
One potential problem position is right-back. Ten Hag doesn’t fancy Aaron Wan-Bissaka, while Diogo Dalot often blows hot and cold. With that in mind, the Old Trafford club could turn to a familiar target; Max Aarons.
In years gone by, the Englishman has been a transfer option for the Old Trafford club.
Now, Sky Sports’ Melissa Reddy believes this is an avenue United could explore once again. She outlined those details while writing for their Transfer Centre.

According to Reddy’s claim, the 22-year-old could become a ‘possible solution’ for Man United in the right-back position.
It’s noted that the player has been a ‘historical target’ for the Reds, while Aarons has also been assessed by other top clubs previously. Reddy does add that it remains to be seen how this interest will develop.
As things stand, I’d suspect that any move for Aarons is solely reliant now what happens with Wan-Bissaka. I just don’t see Ten Hag being afforded the luxury of bringing in the Englishman without making room in the squad for him first.
Wan-Bissaka is someone who hasn’t really attracted much interest. I would guess that’s due to the fact he’s on relatively high wages and United will want a hefty transfer fee to let him leave this month.
Would Aarons be an upgrade? Absolutely. For my money, he’s better than Dalot and the 22-year-old would instantly become our first choice option in that area of the pitch.
