Man United dealt blow as Leny Yoro spotted on crutches and wearing protective boot after injury

Man United defender, Leny Yoro, has been pictured on crutches and wearing a protective boot after injury.

Manchester United Football Club made Leny Yoro their marquee signing this summer. The Frenchman looked sublime on debut against Rangers up in Scotland.

He’d take to the field against Arsenal over at the SoFi Stadium in the USA, though that performance wouldn’t last long. Yoro would have to come off before half-time with an innocuous-looking injury.

Reds supporters had been waiting with bated breath for an update on their teenage superstar. While we’ll have to wait a little longer for official confirmation, the early signings do not look good.

Sky Sports News shared a video of Yoro on crutches, also wearing a protective boot, after suffering that injury against Arsenal.

Obviously, we’re yet to be given any sort of timeframe, but this is far from ideal.

Check out Sky Sports News’ X post on the Leny Yoro injury here:

It feels eerily similar to the way Kobbie Mainoo went down against Real Madrid last summer. We didn’t see him in action regularly until November – a whole four months later.

If it’s a similar scenario for Yoro, it’s a bitterly disappointing blow that could force United back into the centre-back market before the close of the transfer window at the end of August.

I’d like to stress that this is just speculation at this point in time, though the signs do not look great, indicating to me that at the very minimum this is a multi-month injury.

Get well soon, Leny.
