Man United determined to sell Paul Pogba, want around £70m to let him leave: report

How to solve a problem like Paul Pogba? Well you take the bold decision to sell him, apparently…

The story comes from the Daily Star, who state that United remain ‘determined’ to sell the classy midfield star, after refusing to extend his contract by a further twelve months despite a clause that’d allow the Old Trafford club to do so.

Apparently, the Reds, including chief Edward Woodward, remain relaxed about the situation and is ‘comfortable’ to allow doubts around the midfielder’s future to continue.

Furthermore, United will not invite bids for the World Cup winner, though they’ll be happy to negotiate a fee for the player who cost them a club-record £89million a few years ago.

Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on the situation, while Juventus remain interested in re-signing the midfielder who starred for them upon leaving United a decade ago.

A new interested party has emerged, too; Inter Milan. United have a good working relationship with the Serie A side following deals for Romelu Lukaku, Ashley Young and Alexis Sanchez. It is then where United’s £70m transfer fee demand is mentioned as there are doubts about whether Inter could pay that…

Despite barely playing this term, Pogba has an aura that not many can match. There was always going to be huge interest in him, while the Frenchman himself is determined to force away a move. Right now, it feels like it’s in everyone’s best interests to allow that move to happen…
