Man United determined to sign world-class 27-year-old this summer: report

Manchester United’s transfer failures over the summer have been well documented. In the end, I believe that’s what cost Jose Mourinho his job.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come in and steadied the ship, but who knows who’ll the next permanent manager will be. Whoever is at the helm, though, United are determined to sign one particular individual…

That’s according to The Sun, who say that the Red Devils are ‘hell-bent’ on signing Kalidou Koulibaly this coming summer. Apparently, the world-class 27-year-old is the top target for United – whoever the manager may be…

The Napoli superstar is just a sensational defender. Quick, strong, great in the air and tough in the tackle. He has all the makings of an elite Premier League defender, whom, although it hurts to say it, could have a similar impact that Virgil van Dijk made at Liverpool.

Obviously, the Senegalese will not come cheap with Napoli likely to ask for a small fortune to be persuaded with parting with their prized asset, but if anybody can afford him, United can.

Hopefully, when the summer rolls around, United can make headway in talks with Napoli early on and convince the player to choose United – because no doubt, he’ll attract plenty of interest.
